So I have finally managed to sort out a facebook page for my personalised sewing tution which I am hoping to build a business from. It is in the early stages yet but I would appreciate it if you would take the time dear reader to check it out and like it and pass it on to anyone you may know who is considering sewing lessons.
You can check out the results of my teaching in earlier posts which show projects made by my pupil Kate, who is a really quick study. Very proud of her, considering she has never been on a sewing machine before now she is proving to be very talented.
I think the best way to really learn is the traditional way, my mother passed her skills down to me which inspired me to go onto further study. This is what I hope to do for others, provide a personalised course of sewing lessons for individuals so you reap the benefit of my time and your funds. It is such a shame when people go to college classes, pay all that money and only have 10 minutes tutor time in each two or three hour session. Even worse if you come away without a finished project after 10 weeks and no transferable skills. I have called this enterprise
Reap What You Sew as I feel that personlised, individual lessons are the only way to reap any real benefit.
Have also popped into the lovely knitting shop
Baa Ram Ewe in Headingley and left my flyer so hopefully we shall see if we get any interest!
Keep your fingers crossed for me dear reader.
